What you can expect
The Kelly Tarlton Sea Life Aquarium in Auckland is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to explore the wonders of the ocean. Located just outside central Auckland, this aquarium is home to a diverse range of marine life, from penguins and sharks to stingrays and tropical fish.
The aquarium is split into different zones, each showcasing a different aspect of marine life. The Antarctic Ice Adventure is a particular highlight, where visitors can get up close and personal with New Zealand's only colony of Sub-Antarctic penguins.
Discover the mesmerising underwater world at exhibits such as the Shipwreck Discovery, Seahorse Kingdom and curved Shark Tunnel (the first curved aquarium tunnel in the world). Learn all about Sea Life Kelly Tarlton's conservation efforts at the Turtle Rescue Centre, with Turtle Talks available throughout the day. This Auckland aquarium is also home to the world's only display of Spiny Sea Dragons.

- Open Thursday to Monday during School Terms, 9.30am to 5pm (last entry 4pm)
- Open seven days during NZ School Holidays, 9.30am to 5pm (last entry 4pm)
- Time slots for entry are 9.30am, 10am, 11am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1pm, 2pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm
- Please allow 90 minutes for this experience.

- Free admission for those aged zero to two years old
- A child ticket cannot be purchased without an Adult ticket
- Please download your tickets before arriving, as entry will only be granted with a valid barcode or scannable ticket
- Please note talk and feeding times are subject to change
