What you need to know
- 30 minute punt trip (Please note that all punt rides are shared, maximum 10 pax)
- Punting includes blankets, umbrellas and hot water bottles in winter
- Gondola Experience
- Come aboard your classic Punt at either the historic Antigua Boat Sheds landing or the City Centre departure point at the Worcester Street bridge. Your Edwardian Punter will guide you quietly past trailing willows, woodlands and leafy banks as you absorb the beauty of Hagley Park or the changing face of the new city of Christchurch. Punting on the beautiful Avon River is an iconic Christchurch attraction not to be missed.
- Each Punting tour includes an informative commentary, and you are returned to your point of departure. A Punt ride takes 30 minutes.
- Winter: 10am - 4pm (1 April - 30 September)
- Summer: 9am - 6pm (1 October - 31 March)

- Operates daily all year
- The Punt - Typically, a punt is approximately 21 feet (6 metres) long and 3 feet (1 metre) wide. It should be propelled by means of a pole - about 16 foot (5 metres) long - which is also used to steer the punt.
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
