Taking off from the foothills of Mount Hutt, there are fewer places in the world that could be more beautiful to take a hot air balloon flight than New Zealand’s Canterbury Plains. Float up and away and enjoy a peaceful moment up in the clouds as you gently travel past snow capped mountains with panoramic views across the Southern Alps as far as Mt Cook and Mt Aspiring. As the region is illuminated by sunrise, revel in the breathtaking scenery from up to 9,500 ft before dropping to a lower altitude so you can admire the patchwork landscapes and wildlife closer to the ground.
