Napier is a coastal town set in the wine producing region of Hawke's Bay on New Zealand's North Island. The town was rebuilt in 1931 after the earthquake and is now infamous for its Art Deco style landmarks which were typical of the time and have been beautifully preserved over the years. The architecture of Napier makes it truly different from anywhere else in New Zealand and in fact anywhere on Earth.
On this guided tour of Napier you will see for yourself why the region has such world wide status for its Art Deco design. Your guide will provide you with informative and interesting commentary on the town and you will learn what Art Deco is all about and why.
