What you can expect

Experience Milford Sound from water level on Rosco’s Day Safari Kayaking Tour from Te Anau. Start with a scenic guided journey along the famous Milford Road before arriving in Milford Sound for the Sunriser Classic kayak experience.

Paddle through calm fiord waters surrounded by towering peaks, waterfalls and ancient rainforest-covered cliffs. With around 3.5 hours on the water, this is an immersive way to enjoy Fiordland’s dramatic scenery and spot wildlife such as seals, dolphins and penguins.

No kayaking experience is needed, making this full-day adventure a memorable option for first-time paddlers and nature lovers wanting to experience Milford Sound beyond the usual cruise.
