Take your skydiving adventure to the next level with a 13,000ft tandem jump over the breathtaking Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. Departing from Pukaki Airport, you’ll witness the grandeur of Mount Cook as you climb aboard the plane, ready for an unforgettable experience. As the aircraft soars above the Mackenzie Country, the anticipation builds until you reach 13,000ft.
With Skydive Mt Cook, you’ll experience an exhilarating 45-second freefall, surrounded by the natural beauty of New Zealand’s South Island. Feel the adrenaline rush as you descend towards the earth, with panoramic views of the Southern Alps, Lake Pukaki, and the majestic Mount Cook beneath you. Once the parachute opens, take a moment to savour the serenity and the unparalleled vistas of this remarkable landscape.

What you need to know
- Please note that bookings from April 1st 2026, will incur a $20 surcharge payable on the day of your booking. Surcharges will be collected directly at check-in, at the base
- Tandem skydive from 13,000ft
- Experienced jumpmaster
- 10-20 minute scenic flight
- Up to 45 seconds of freefall
- 3-5 minutes under the parachute
- Please allow 2-3 hours for the duration of this experience
- Regular departures available from 9am to 5pm
- Departs from Skydive Mt Cook at Pukaki Airport, near Twizel
- Operates daily all year
- Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your flight time
- Surcharge may apply if weight is over 100kgs, but this is weather dependant
- If your flight is cancelled due to bad weather you can reschedule or contact us for a full refund
- 10-18 year olds can jump, subject to parent/guardian consent and harnesses fitting in both height and weight
- Options for a personal photographer to jump with you &/or your tandem jumpmaster can carry a handcam (additional cost)
