Experience a fun, scenic, and family-friendly ride from historic Arrowtown to the picturesque Gibbston Valley. This one-way trail winds along the Arrow River, crosses charming suspension bridges, and travels through open farmland and riverside paths, offering a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.
Begin with a short scenic shuttle from Queenstown to Arrowtown, where you’ll be fitted with high-quality mountain bikes or E-bikes, helmets, and a trail map. After a safety briefing, set off at your own pace — making stops for photos, nature, or simply soaking up the scenery.
The ride covers 15 km one-way on wide, gently undulating gravel trails, making it ideal for confident riders of all ages. E-bikes are recommended for adults or older kids for extra comfort and ease. At the finish, a shuttle will bring you back to Queenstown, so there’s no need to retrace your steps.
This ride is perfect for families, couples, or groups seeking an enjoyable half-day adventure with the flexibility to explore, play, and connect with Queenstown’s stunning landscapes.

- Summer (Sep - Apr): 9.30am - 2pm or 1pm - 5pm
- Winter (May - Aug): 10am - 1.30pm or 12pm -4pm
- Please arrive 10 minutes prior to departure
- This experience is approximately four hours in duration.
- This experience departs from the Around The Basin Bike shop, 3 Searle Lane, Queenstown 9300.
- Not available on Christmas Day
- Children must be over 135cm tall and confident riders if choosing the electric bike option
- In extreme weather conditions the tour may be cancelled if safety is a concern, you will be contacted by the provider and rescheduled
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
