What you can expect

Embark on a self-guided bike ride from Arrowtown to Queenstown and enjoy some of the most majestic views in New Zealand. Admire the beautiful and diverse scenery along the entire route. Included in this experience is transportation from Queenstown to the start of your ride, a quality bike, helmet, trail map, and full information and trail tips before you set off riding. Phone support is available if required. Enjoy the flexibility to ride at your own pace, taking in the stunning landscapes and making stops as you wish.

Please note that a good level of fitness is required for this 35km ride, which includes sections of hills. Summer departures are at 9 AM, returning no later than 4:30 PM, while winter departures are at 10 AM, returning by 4:30 PM.

What you need to know

Note
  • Child rates apply (5-14yrs)
  • Infant rates apply (0-4yrs)
  • Children's bikes, kiddie bike seats & kids half bikes available. Kids under 5 years old put in a kiddie seat with mum or dad and are charged at the infant rate of $50 which also includes the car seat for transfers to & from town
  • To hire an e-bike riders must be at least 145cm tall
  • Bring with you comfortable closed footwear, suitable athletic clothing (ideally shorts, riding pants or tights), rain jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottle, snacks camera, money for cafes or wineries

  • Local pick up is included from central Queenstown accommodation.
Additional Information
  • A good level of fitness is required for this ride
  • Trail distance is 35km directly back, with sections of hills
  • Maximum numbers per van are 11. You ride independently and at your own pace.
  • The experience provider reserves the right to cancel your ride as a result of unfavourable weather conditions
  • Activewear and sturdy shoes are recommended
