What you can expect
If you are looking for an exhilarating experience with friends then look no further than the adrenaline inducing German built Go Karts at Highlands. The Highlands Go Karts come equipped with transponders to record your lap times as you battle it out on a purpose built 650m outdoor track to set the fastest time. Choose between single or tandem karts and make sure you've got your competitive hat on for the day as you take on your rivals. At the completion of racing your overall position and lap times will be presented on a TV at the Go Karts Building.

What you need to know
- Full face helmet
- Safety briefing
- German Rimo petrol Go kart
- Allow 40 minutes (10 minutes track time)
- You must arrive and check in at Highlands at least 30 minutes before your booking time
- Open 10am-4pm daily
- Highlands Motorsport Park, corner SH6 & Sandflat Road, Cromwell (45 minute drive from Queenstown)
- Operates daily all year
- Does the Go Karting voucher give you access to the Highlands museum? Unfortunately not, access to the museum is bookable separate to your Go Karting voucher at Highlands Motorsport Park.
- Highlands is located in Cromwell, 45 minutes drive from Queenstown
- Please note there is a pre activity waiver to be read & signed
- For single carts the minimum age is 10 years & minimum height is 1.4m
- For tandem karts the minimum driver age is 16 years & minimum height 1.4m
- For tandem passengers the minimum age is 6 years & minimum height is 1.2m
- Although you may comply with the age and height restrictions above, you must have the ability to fully control the kart. Final decisions on use will be made by our Go Kart team
- The Go Kart Track is weather dependent
- Closed toe footwear must be worn
- No loose clothing
- Go-Pro cameras are allowed & helmets with Go-Pro mounts can be provided
