This full-day tour begins with pick up from your Queenstown accommodation, where you’ll board a premium 16-seater Mercedes van for a comfortable journey into Fiordland National Park. Along the way, your local guide will share fascinating commentary and stop off at key places where you can marvel at the surrounding scenery.
Once you arrive in Milford Sound, you’ll join a 1.75 hour boat cruise to explore the length of the fiord. Aboard a small, purpose-built vessel, marvel at towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls and look out for Milford Sound's wildlife, such as dolphins, seals and the rare Fiordland crested penguin. The onboard nature guide will point you in the right direction to see marine life, as well as provide insights into the natural history and geology of this world-famous New Zealand destination.
Your small group Milford Sound tour concludes with a scenic helicopter flight back to Queenstown. Take to the skies for spectacular aerial views of Milford Sound itself, as well as Fiordland National Park's snow-capped peaks, untouched glaciers and braided rivers. We paid extra for this tour as it clearly says its a small group and small boat Whilst the ride to and from was excellent, Mrs Do of Holland our driver and guide was extremely kind and significantly informative and accomadating. One of our mates threw up.and she helped to clean. She done great stops and gave us great insights However at Milford we were put on a huge boat with hundreds of other people. This was no small group nor small boat. It was the normal boat everyone was comming and just buying tickets at the counter The boat was cramped. No space to menouver and take pics I regret unfortunately for paying so much. I could have saved easily $60 ×5 on a normal trip booking. I paid the extra for a smaller exclusive tour

Breathtaking views..even in the van...very informative tour guide..we had it all in our tour..sun..rain..hail and snow..at milford we saw dolphins, seals and penguins..what more could u ask for...:)
