What you can expect

The Scenic Flight to and from Milford Sound has regularly been described as the most spectacular part of the whole Milford Sound experience, with this option instead of joining a cruise you will have two hours to explore Milford Sound at your leisure and take advantage of the many photographic opportunities. After completing check-in, your pilot will give a thorough pre-flight briefing on the planned flight path and scenic highlights likely to be encountered. The flight time into Milford is 35 minutes each way. Once there use the time to take a self-guided walk along the shoreline, explore and take pictures and have a delicious coffee and cake at the Discover Milford Café. Ideal for those who prefer to not take to the water onboard a boat, but still enjoy all Milford has to offer.

  • We recommend booking for your first available day in Queenstown due to the weather dependent nature of flying
  • Should the weather be unfavourable on the day, you will have maximum flexibility to roll your experience on to another day during your stay
Cancellation Policy
  • For flights cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the departure time, there will be no charge.
  • For flights cancelled between 24 hours and 48 hours prior to departure time we reserve the right to charge a 10% booking fee.
  • For flights cancelled within 24 hours prior to departure time, or in the case of a ‘no show’, you will be charged the full cost of the flight.
