Wind through Queenstown’s film country on a half day four wheel drive tour along the scenic Glenorchy Road to Glenorchy and Paradise. These valleys stood in for Ithilien, Isengard, Beorn’s House, Lothlórien, and Amon Hen in the Lord of the Rings films, and your themed vehicle is built for the backcountry, so you can keep your eyes on the landscape instead of the road.

The tour also takes in a huge collection of authentic licensed replica props, open for photos, alongside viewing copies of the original scripts and production call sheets. Afternoon tea and snacks come with the behind the scenes stories and a round of insider movie trivia, and one percent of all proceeds goes to the Love Queenstown Community Fund. Local tip: the props collection is where the best photos happen, so keep some camera battery back for it. Half a day is all it takes to see the real Middle Earth.
