Crank up the heat and combine two of Rotorua’s best activities on a Rafting & Mud Baths Combo. Explore the mighty Kaituna River on a 50 minute grade 5 white water rafting adventure with Kaituna Cascades. Together with the fun and professional guides at Kaituna Cascades, feel the adrenaline rush as you take on 14 epic rapids and 2 waterfalls, including a 7 metre drop at Tutea Falls. After heaps of thrills and spills while rafting on the Kaituna River, discover Rotorua’s geothermal mud baths at Hell’s Gate. Soak in views of this geothermal reserve near Rotorua while lathering your skin with soothing mud and soaking in a naturally heated sulphur spa, renowned for its healing qualities.

- 8:30 AM (Summer only)
- 10:30 AM (Pick-up at 10:00 AM)

- Please NOTE: For the 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM slots, pick-ups will occur 30 minutes prior to the trip time
- Allow 4 hours
- 9:00am, 11:45am & 2:30pm
- Self drive to Rafting base at 18 Okere Falls Road, Rotorua
- Self drive to Hell's Gate Geothermal Reserve & Mud Spa (approx 15 minute drive from rafting base)
- Operates all year
- This combo is self drive only, no transfers available from Rotorua or between activities
- Minimum age 13yrs+
- Hell's Gate spa opening hours: 10:00am-6:00pm (last entry 4:30pm)
- Hell's Gate is a 10-15 minute drive away at 351 State Highway 30, Tikitere, Rotorua
- Not suitable for pregnant women
- Maximum weight 120kg
- Participants must have a reasonable level of fitness
- Bring your swimwear, towel, sunscreen & water
- GoPros are permitted on the river provided you are wearing a chest harness
- We recommend bringing an old set of swimwear for the mud bath & spa, or you can hire them at Hell's Gate for $5 per item
- No minimum numbers required
- Rafting photos are available to purchase after your trip
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

I wasn’t sure if I was paying less than if I paid separately for each experience, however it was great that I did the rafting earlier in the day, so that I could dry out before going to the mud baths.
