With a surf instructor by your side, you'll receive assistance as you begin to paddle and are pushed into the first waves. Once you are feeling confident, it's time to try riding surfing on your own. Private Surf Lesson at Ngarunui Beach - 90 Minutes - Raglan

After getting kitted out in thick wetsuits and jackets, you'll be driven through the picturesque town of Raglan and up to the edge of Mount Karioi for a heart-pumping canyoning adventure. Confront your fears as you scramble, rock climb and abseil the cascading waterfalls whilst taking in the native bush and natural beauty that surrounds the ancient lava flow. Your guide will help you navigate your way through many obstacles including waterfalls, pools and boulders to ensure the adventure is both adrenaline-pumping and safe. Throughout your journey, you will be entertained by stories, history and facts about the local area from your passionate guide, whilst having your photo taken.

Karioi Canyoning Adventure - Four Hours

At sunset, you will begin to descend into an ancient lava flow off Mount Karioi in the company of an experienced guide. As you climb and abseil into freshwater pools and cascading waterfalls, it will be hard to miss the beauty of the surrounding flora and fauna, and as darkness falls, you'll start to see the luminescent transformation take place. Be dazzled by the native New Zealand glowworms as abundant as stars on a clear night that envelop you, and take a moment to soak in the area's peacefulness with a hot cup of freshly-made Kawakawa tea. Throughout your journey, you will be entertained by stories, history and facts about the local area from your passionate guide, whilst having your photos taken.

Karioi Glowworm Canyoning Adventure - 4 Hours 

Take the opportunity to climb a real rock in the Wakaito region. Your fully qualified and experienced guide will teach you the safest form of climbing and enlighten you on rock identification, belaying, equipment selection and equipment checking. Once you're equipped with the knowledge, begin your ascent up the ancient fossil limestone cliffs of Stone Valley. Calm your nerves as you turn around and take in sweeping views of the countryside, boulder valleys and the extinct volcanoes of Mt Pirongia and Mt Karioi. Your guide will also take incredible shots of you climbing up the cliff face.



Raglan Rocking Climbing Adventure

Commence the day with a magical morning amongst the clouds on a 60 minute hot air balloon flight over Waikato. Meet the crew and your pilot before the first light and help with the balloon inflation. As you lift off, you’ll be floating with the morning breeze above Hamilton and the green pastures of Waikato.  

Admire the distant snow capped mountains of Tongariro National Park as you enjoy peacefully soar above farmlands, rivers and townships. After an hour in the air, you’ll gently drift back down to earth and complete the extraordinary experience with refreshments and a glass of bubbly.
