Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers Helicopter Flight - 45 Minutes

Sweep over three of New Zealand's great glaciers on a 45 minute helicopter flight, tracing the frozen rivers of Franz Josef and Fox before crossing the Main Divide to the Tasman, the largest glacier in the country. From your seat beside an experienced pilot, watch the ice carve its way down the mountains and give way to lush rainforest far below, with peak after peak opening up through the window.

Around the halfway mark, weather permitting, the helicopter touches down for a 10 minute alpine snow landing at a spot you could not reach any other way. Step out onto pristine snow, breathe in the sharp mountain air and take in the peaks stacked to the horizon. It is the kind of place that makes you stop and just look.
