On the day of your Heli Picnic, your Kaikoura Helicopters pilot chooses the best flight path and landing location to ensure you have the finest views for your helicopter experience. From the helipad in Kaikoura, fly over parts of the lower Seaward Kaikoura Ranges, which rise dramatically from the picturesque coastline. Your helicopter then lands in an alpine location with unbeatable views of the Kaikoura peninsula, Hapuku river and Puhi Puhi Valley. If the weather conditions allow, you might even be able to glimpse as far as Wellington and the Banks Peninsula.

We had a fantastic flight. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good, so we couldn't land and have a picnic. However, we flew over Kaikoura and we spotted a whale and some dophins. We would definitely recommend Kaikoura Helicopters. They are a fun bunch!!!!
