Capture the best of Kaikoura’s magnificent coastal vistas, alpine scenery and diverse wildlife from the air on an unforgettable 80 minutes scenic helicopter flight that will stay with you forever. Combining the Kaikoura whale watching scenic flight with two alpine landings, this is the ultimate helicopter flight in Kaikoura.
Passengers will set off from Kaikoura Airport and within minutes find themselves flying over the Seaward Kaikoura Ranges to the Pacific Ocean. Kaikoura is well known as an animal sanctuary and you’ll be able to spot resident sperm whales, dusky dolphins and New Zealand fur seals as they migrate through the region and follow them for a moment in their miraculous journey.
After observing the abundant marine life, your helicopter flight will track north along the rugged coastline to the Kaikoura Ranges for a landing at the turquoise waters of Hapuku Lake. The journey continues with a second landing overlooking the ranges, Kaikoura Peninsula and the Pacific Ocean. Offering incredible 360-degree views of the landscape surrounding you, we really mean it when we say this experience is extraordinary.

- All whale watching flights are subject to suitable weather conditions
- Minimum 2 adults and maximum 6 pax per aircraft
- The maximum weight per passenger is 135kg
- Highly recommend bookings are made in advance to avoid disappointment
- Infants under the age of 2 years of age can travel free of charge IF (they can sit comfortably on an adults’ lap & weighs under 18kg’s). Limited to 1 infant per journey/experience
- Customers with limited mobility are most welcome, friends and family assistance is appreciated, must have the ability to move along a seat once lifted. An excellent way to see the whales, marine life & Kaikoura - maximise your time soaring above it all
- Flights are subject to minimum passenger numbers and our aircraft have specific weight restrictions (all passengers and/or equipment will be weighed as a 'combined weight')
- All flights/journeys are subject to change or cancellation due to weather conditions. We will work with you to reschedule your flight for another day

- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
