QUEENSTOWN WINE TOUR, YOUR WAY
Love the freedom to choose your own wineries, but don't want to spend your day following bus timetables or organising transport?
Meet Wine Hopper, Queenstown's flexible, Wine Guide-led wine tour. Your friendly local qualified Wine Guide takes care of the driving, timing and logistics while helping you shape a relaxed afternoon around the Central Otago wines, wineries, cellar doors and food experiences you'll love.
There's no fixed winery timetable and no rushing to catch the next bus. Most guests enjoy 3–4 stops across Arrowtown and Gibbston, with wine tastings and food purchased directly from the venues you choose, giving you the flexibility to decide what you'd like to taste, eat and spend. Wine, food, scenery or a little of everything, make it your own.
Depart Queenstown 12pm, Frankton 12.15pm or Arrowtown 12.30pm. Return approx. 6.00pm, or choose Ayrburn as your final stop and stay on for dinner.

- Optional Ayrburn final destination for guests wishing to stay on for dinner
- Wine tastings, food, beverages and any additional experiences are not included and are purchased directly from the venues you choose, giving you the flexibility to decide what you'd like to taste, eat and spend. Gratuities are not included. Tips for your Wine Guide are gratefully appreciated but entirely optional.
- Duration: Approx. 6 hours
- Queenstown departure: 12.00pm
- Frankton departure: 12.15pm
- Arrowtown departure: 12.30pm
- Return to Queenstown: Approx. 6.00pm
- Optional Ayrburn final destination: Approx. 5.30pm
- Queenstown pickup | 12.00pm | Outside Red Rock Cafe, 48 Camp Street, Central Queenstown
- Frankton pickup | 12.15pm | Frankton Bus Terminus
- Arrowtown pickup | 12.30pm | Ramshaw Lane, Arrowtown
- Return via Arrowtown, Frankton and Queenstown by approx. 6.00pm
- Option to finish at Ayrburn at approx. 5.30pm and stay on for drinks, dinner or the evening.
- Guests finishing at Ayrburn must arrange their own onward transport.

- Please be ready at your selected pickup location 10 minutes before departure: Queenstown 12.00pm | Frankton 12.15pm | Arrowtown 12.30pm.
- Wine tastings, food and beverages are purchased directly from the venues you choose. If you'd like the full list of wineries and cellar doors available to visit on Wine Hopper, please email us directly at contact@winehopperbus.co.nz and we'll be happy to send you the current options.
- Return to Queenstown is approximately 6.00pm, or choose Ayrburn as your final destination and stay on for dinner. If dining at Ayrburn, we suggest booking your table for approximately 6.30pm. Guests finishing at Ayrburn must arrange their own onward transport.
- Please bring your passport as photo ID if you intend to purchase or consume alcohol. New Zealand's legal drinking age is 18 years.

- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

The driver was nice but at the first stop he was extremely close to reversing angrily into a parked car as another told him to move since he parked where they could not leave their car park. He talked a lot and we had to listen to the end of his story before getting in our out of the van. At the end of the trip he dropped my wine bottle and did go and buy me another one from the bottle o
A bit confusing at the start as unsure what was involved but Angus explained everything well and was a perfect host/driver all day. A very good introduction to wines of the region.
Due to lack of numbers we upgraded from a hop on and off bus to a guided tour... such an awesome oppotunity.. loved every minute of it
