• Step away from the actioned packed Queenstown and enter Onsen Hot Pools where you can relax, rejuvenate and unwind in an exclusive pool whether that be inside or out. Gaze over the Shotover River, towering mountain ranges and lush natural flora for 60 minutes. The Onsen Hot Pools will comfortably accommodate individuals, couples or groups of three to four
• Enjoy the convenience of a return shuttle transfer from a central Queenstown location, or simply self-drive with free parking included
• For the Original Onsen, the room will be fully enclosed. Once you are settled comfortably into your pool, the front retractable glass window and roof opens and will offer spectacular views
• The Outdoor Onsen is partially separated by planting and covered with a shade sail to offer some protection from the elements
• Lanterns will be placed around the pools for sessions after 5pm, the lanterns offer a gentle background light and enhance the stargazing experience. Please select this option upon booking

Time

• The Outdoor Onsen is open 9am - 4.30pm and The Original Onsen is open 9am - 10pm
• Bookings are taken on the hour for customers wishing to receive a transfer
• Self-drive bookings will be at half-past the hour
• Please arrive at the pools 30 minutes prior your scheduled bathing time

• 1 hour including time to change and shower

Location

• Onsen Hot Pool is located at 160 Arthurs Point Road, Arthurs Point, Queenstown, New Zealand
• The on request shuttle service departs and returns outside of the Station Building, corner of Camp St and Shotover St, in central Queenstown. Hourly pick-up/drop-off from The Station. Pick-up at 30 minutes to the hour

Additional Information

• Children under 12yrs are not permitted for evening sessions (after 5pm)

• The water held within the pools is vastly rainwater, collected from our roof-tops as well as spring water from a spring on-site. Any shortfall is substituted from Lake Wakatipu water. The water is replaced constantly throughout the day in order to keep the water as fresh as possible and is constantly circulates through a sand filter to trap suspended particles
• The mineral content of the pool water is very low so jewellery should not be affected. However, it is recommended to remove jewellery to avoid losing items in the pool
• If you wish to cancel a booking please provide at least 48 hours’ notice

Terms And Conditions

• As Onsen is a close contact business, when Queenstown moves to the COVID-19 Protection Framework “Traffic Light” system, we will require all guests to be vaccinated. At the time of booking your experience, we will require confirmation that all guests associated with the booking are double vaccinated against COVID-19.
• On arrival, we will be requiring proof of vaccination in line with the NZ Government’s Vaccination Certificates Protocol (Protocol). If you are unable to provide evidence of double vaccination strictly in line with the Protocol, the guests who are not vaccinated or unable to provide proof will not be able to enjoy their experience with us. The cost for the booking will remain the same as at the time of booking regardless of the number of guests who are enjoy their experience with us.
• If no guests are vaccinated or able to provide proof of vaccination in line with the Protocol, the booking will be cancelled, and your credit card will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the booking.

• Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
• Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
• Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
• Availability was accurate at the time of booking however, is subject to change due to circumstances out of our control
