Join us for a truly unforgettable evening as you set sail across Lake Taupo aboard a stunning classical sailing boat. As the first company to offer dedicated sunset sailing tours on the lake, we've perfected the experience chasing the most magical skies of the year and adjusting our departure times to catch the golden hour at its best.
Lake Taupo is known for producing some of the most breathtaking sunsets in Aotearoa. As the water reflects the vibrant hues of the sky, you'll glide peacefully across the lake, powered by the wind - quiet, clean, and eco-friendly. Your journey takes you to the iconic M?ori Rock Carvings, a cultural masterpiece only visible by water. Listen to our experienced skippers and learn about the history of the lake. If you are feeling adventurous, take a refreshing swim in the pristine lake (weather dependent). Along the way, feel the calm of dusk settle in, snuggle under a warm blanket, and enjoy a complimentary beer, wine or non-alcoholic drink.

- This experience is 2.5 hours in duration
- 6:30pm
- Departs from the Taupo Boat Marina, Berth 16
- Operates in summer only (November - March)
- Dress comfortably and warmly (layered clothes work best), wind and showerproof jacket recommended.
- Bring swimwear and towel (during summer), sunblock, sunglasses and hat.
- No hard soled shoes or high heels.
- Changes in individuals accepted without an extra fee, if the change is within the same price type.
- Minimum of four and maximum of 24 participants.
- Not accessible for wheelchairs or prams.
