What you can expect
There’s something about a water touch bungy jump that makes it even more thrilling than a regular bungy. Whether it’s the refreshing splash at the end or the fear factor of getting closer to the water, there’s only one way to find out!
As the most scenic bungy jump in the North Island, Taupo Bungy has over 30 years’ experience. At 47 metres, Taupo Bungy offers the highest water touch in New Zealand. Bungy solo or tandem and choose from a hand touch to full submersion, all while being looked after by an experienced team.
From the cliff-top cantilever platform, take in spectacular views of the Waikato River below, if you can work up the courage to look down! Then it’s time to take the plunge. Your brain will whirl as you take in every sensation, colour and second of the jump.
By the time you rebound at the bottom, the nerves will have turned into total exhilaration, leaving you on a high for hours, if not days. There’s nothing like saying, “Bungy jumping? Yeah, been there, done that.”

- Allow 1 hour (including travel time from the town centre)
- Regular departures from 9.30am - 3:30pm
- The bungy site is located just a short walk from the town centre at 202 Spa Road, Taupo
- Complimentary Taupo accommodation transfers available
- Operates daily all year
- Jump solo or tandem with a buddy!
- Combine the bungy with the Taupo Swing
- All jumpers must be at least 10 years of age & weight a minimum of 35kg
- Maximum weight is 150kg per person and 180kg combined total weight for tandems. The harness must also fit correctly. The maximum weight difference between tandem jumpers must not exceed 30kg.
- There is spacious car parking on site
- For a Tandem Bungy or Swing, simply purchase two units relative to age and let the team know upon your arrival
