Your expert Dark Sky Project guide will also use handheld lasers to point out planets and constellations that you can witness with the naked eye.

In case the weather doesn't cooperate, fear not! You can still learn all about the International Dark Sky Reserve at the Dark Sky Experience , which is offered as an indoor alternative. Immerse yourself in interactive experiences about the night sky from the comfort of an indoor setting, where cutting-edge technology brings the stars to life on a state-of-the-art screen.

For a longer stargazing tour at Mt John Observatory, check out the popular 2 hour Summit Experience instead.
