What you can expect

Our Full Day Kayak Tour combines the world-famous Cathedral Cove with the spectacular remote coastline that lies south of Hahei.

You’ll discover huge sea caves, hidden bays, offshore islands and paddle deep inside NZ’s most beautiful blowhole – guaranteed! Perfect for adventurous travellers wanting to experience Cathedral Cove and much more! The ‘Blowhole Guarantee’ assures you that if the Full Day Tour is running, we’ll definitely visit the blowhole along the way! We’ll also stop at Cathedral Cove for morning or afternoon tea on the beach (provided).

What you need to know

  • Lunch (bring your own): We stop for a lunch break back at the starting point.
  • You can access your car if it is at the beach or you have time to walk to the cafe/shop for a takeaway.
  • There are toilets and changing rooms near the kayaks.
  • This experience will takes approximately 6 hours
  • This experience takes place at Hahei Beach in the Coromandel: 2 Hahei Beach Road, Hahei, Waikato 2591

  • Please ensure you phone the experience provider the day before your tour to check weather conditions.
  • Risk Disclosure: Cathedral Cove Kayaks operate in a natural coastal environment and is an adventure activity were the risks are real. Risks that may occur are: physical exertion, exposure to natural elements, boat capsize, sea-sickness, encounters with natural wild life, personal injury, death and property damage. Staff and management will take all practicable steps to identify and minimize dangers. A waiver and briefing will be given on the day of the trip by the guides giving all necessary information and training needing to participate.

  • Child age guideline: 12yrs+
  • This tour is designed for experienced kayakers or those who are fit and confident on the water
  • Please advise at the time of booking of any disabilities, the provider will do their best to accommodate your needs.
  • Free cancellation and rescheduling up until 48hrs before departure.
  • Cancellations made in the 48hrs before departure are non-refundable.
  • 100% refund if we cancel all kayaking due to the weather.
