Discover the magic of Zealandia Wildlife Sanctuary after dark on a guided Zealandia by Night tour in Wellington. As the sun sets, follow your expert guide by torchlight through native forest and experience the sights and sounds of the sanctuary as nocturnal wildlife begins to stir.

Along the way, listen for native birds and keep an eye out for some of New Zealand’s rare and remarkable species, including glowworms, tuatara, wētā, ruru and possibly even the elusive little spotted kiwi. While sightings are never guaranteed, kiwi are seen on many tours as they live wild within the protected valley.

This small-group night tour offers a memorable way to experience New Zealand’s unique wildlife and learn more about Zealandia’s world-leading conservation efforts. The tour finishes back at the Visitor Centre, making it a special evening activity for nature lovers visiting Wellington.
