- Instruction on using sea kayak equipment
- Assistance on kayaking technique at start of kayaking trip
- Allow a full day, approx. 6 hours
- 1 Day Freedom Kayaking departs at 8:30am & 10:30am daily
- Departs from Kahu Kayaks, Sandy Bay Maharau Road, Maharau
- Operates daily all year
- Minimum age is 14yrs
- Requires minimum of 2 people
- Minimum age for freedom kayaking is 14 years, must be travelling with an adult
- Kahu Kayaks provide double kayaks unless group is an uneven number
- Retrieval available for one way kayak at additional cost
- Safety briefing included at start of tour
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for kayaking and walking
- Bring layers, a change of clothes and dress according to the weather
- Pack swimwear and a towel in case you want to jump in!
- All kayaking equipment provided
- Bring sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, extra snacks and water for the day
- Don't forget your camera!
