What you can expect
Take a half day adventure through Abel Tasman National Park with the guided Southern Blend Kayak and Water Taxi trip by Kahu Kayaks. Starting in Marahau, head out into the calm Abel Tasman waters to explore what the coastline has to offer, with a ride back in the Kahu Kayaks Water Taxi at the end of the tour.
On the Southern Blend Kayak and Water Taxi trip, kayak from Kahu Kayaks in Marahau along the coastline to Observation Beach, where the Kahu Kayaks Water Taxi will meet you later. On the way, take in the sights of Abel Tasman’s beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife, including golden beaches, sea caves and lagoons along the Abel Tasman coastline. Your Kahu Kayaks guide will provide tips and tricks for kayaking, and also regale you with interesting facts and stories about this incredible New Zealand region.
Before you set off on this half day kayak and water taxi experience, Kahu Kayaks will provide a safety briefing and instruction on sea kayak equipment and techniques. This is the perfect way to discover the hidden gems and remote wonders of the Abel Tasman coastline.

- Double kayaks provided unless the whole group is an uneven number

- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for kayaking and walking
- Bring warm layers, waterproofs and dress according to the weather
- Pack swimwear and a towel in case you want to jump in!
